South Western Grocery

At the South Western Disability (SWDS) Centre we have been constructed a make-shift grocery store. This will enable our participants to develop their independence and learn new skills such as choosing the correct produce from their shopping list, interacting with grocery store staff, cashiers and money management.

Participants will also learn skills to become an employee such as how to stock shelves and serve customers.

South Western Cafe

At South Western Disability Services (SWDS) we have our very own in-house cafe. This is a place where our participants can socialise, gain experience In a cafe setting and improve skills including customer service, handling the cash register and multi-tasking. It is also where our participants can practice their new coffee-making skills that they have learned in our barista classes.

The cafe will be open to the public. All funds generated will go towards the end of annual party for our participants to enjoy.
