The National Disability Insurance Scheme or NDIS supports people with a disability under the age of 65 to get the support they need to live a more enriched life through the provision of funding for their specific needs. The NDIS is for people with a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to take part in everyday activities. The goal of the NDIS is to help people live as independently as possible by accessing the supports they need which are designed for each person’s needs whether that is assistance within their home, involvement in the community, employment or more.
